Left Rock Hall at 5:45am yesterday with my friends Dan and Christian. We were greeted with a still rough bay and high winds. The first couple hours were uncomfortable in our little 18' aluminum boat, but with the promise of lighter winds and calmer seas in the forecast we stuck it out.
We trolled our spread of 9 rods from Love Point to about 2 miles south of the bay bridge. We had one good hit on a deep tandem just north of the bay bridge, but by the time we got the rod out of the holder the fish was gone.
We stayed out until 4:00pm and decided to call it. The wind had died down by now and the bay was beautiful. On our way in we went by the only boat we saw all day hooked up to a fish. It was a slow slow day.
Going to give it another try in a couple of weeks. Hope the fishing improves!
