Ductwork Sport Fishing - Offshore Reports Recap - 7/25/14

Captain Phil Leo of Ductwork Sport Fishing sent this fishing recap to us this morning. The Ductwork crew has been busy but productive week of fishing offshore. Check out the reports below!

Very tired after a bunch of days offshore...Last Thursday's overnight trip had a couple bigeye shots after dark. Night was slow with some mahi. The next day we put a nice load of smaller 5 to 10lb tiles on the boat. Monday's Bluefin trip was very good with 6 Bluefin landed between 50 and 80lbs, kept our 3 fish and had a couple of gaffer dolphin as well. Tuesday fluke was fair, as drift conditions were non existant. Fishing seems to be slowly picking up on the deepwater fluke and the fish are nice size. Turned the boat around and ran a 30hr overnighter on Tuesday afternoon down south....we finished the trip catching two hammerheads at night with one yellowfin around 70lbs caught on a live mackerel during the day and a bunch of tiles to the mid 30lb class. No joy on the bigeye, as the stage was set but we couldn't get a fish to eat. Yellowfin seem to be spread up and down the line and there have been a few bigeye around both north and south...just need to be in the right place at the right time....
