Adam Bomb Sport Fishing - St. Patty's Day Striper Report

The following fishing report is from Captain Adam Crouthamel of Adam Bomb Sport Fishing. Adam fishes the inshore waters around Cape May, NJ year round. He targets stripers, flounder, tog, sea bass, drum, cod and all other inshore species found around Cape May. I have personally fished with Adam multiple times and each trip was outstanding. Check out his website here for all his latest fishing reports, boat availability and Adam Bomb gear. You can also see Adam Bomb reports and open boat availability at The Bass Barn

March 17, 2012 - St. Patty's Day Stripers

We hit the water today with Greg, Shawn, Traci, Jeff, Frank, and Tom. Setting up in the fog with chilly conditions but very little wind, we fished over some good looking readings on the sonar, but couldn't get a bite. So, we made a short wiggle. The marks were thick just about everywhere we went...tons of bait and definitely some bass in the mix. We set up on some more good reads. We sat for quite a while. Just as my patience was wearing thin, we had a bite...swing and a miss! Then another...swing and miss! AH! Shortly after, Jeff gets a bit, sinks the hook, and gets the first bass of 2012 on the Bomb...

Waiting a while longer, Shawn hooks up...another "late winter(it's not spring yet! )" keeper!

After a couple more bites without a hook-up, Greg sticks one and gets his first of the year!

The tide went flat shortly after this fish, so we pulled the anchor and sped for the Barn at nearly 30 knots. It felt GREAT to see the first few keeper bass of 2012 hit the box! Looking forward to getting back out there tomorrow. With the amount of bait and the marks I saw on my screen both on the grounds and on the way to the grounds, it should be lights out soon!

Seats available this week! Give me a call! Thanks and see ya soon!
