I was running late and got setup at 3:15, that turned out to be just in time because at 3:30 this guy came walking out of the woods 50 yards to my left. He checked a scrape right on the edge of the woods then turned and headed my way. At 25 yards he stood broadside and I decided to take the shot.
When I first saw him I could have sworn he was a 6 or 7 point, but he turned out to be a big 5 point. But he is an old mature, big bodied deer and I am thrilled with him.
