The following fishing report is from Captain Adam Crouthamel of Adam Bomb Sport Fishing. Adam fishes the inshore waters around Cape May, NJ year round. He targets stripers, flounder, tog, sea bass, drum, cod and all other inshore species found around Cape May. I have personally fished with Adam multiple times and each trip was outstanding. Another
foggy morning in Cape May. We departed mid morning with Joe, Chris, Tom, Vince,
Frank, and Rio. It was a calm as I have ever seen it on the bay...
Our
first stop was very shallow. We had one bass hook up briefly, but he spit the
hook. Then, Joe hooks up on a very small fish...an eel! At this point we are all
wondering what is going on!? On the bright side, we did see some bass swirl on
the surface, which is a good sign. After a bit, we make a move. We see some bass
swirling on the surface and see a few marks so we set up. A few minutes in,
Frank hooks up on a good fish. After a short battle, the hook pulls! AHH!! After
a long wait of 45 minutes or so, Joe hooks up and gets our first
keeper...
Next,
Frank is granted a second chance by the fish, and boats another nice one! Vinny
is up next, and it's a beauty!
We
got a good bite going, and put 10 fish on the deck, 9 of which made the box! We
had a number of missed bites, and a couple pulled hooks, too. VERY good to
see!!! I hope it keeps up. We'll see where and how they chew tomorrow. With 60
degree water, who knows!

Out
with us today was Brian Hills for his charter. There wasn't much action for
anyone today, and we were included in that. We could only muster 1 short for our
efforts. The best I heard of was a boat that had 2 keepers. The water is in the
upper 50's, which is crazy for March. We'll see what tomorrow brings
